If I make a claim, will I automatically lose my NCD?

If there is a claim made under the policy, your NCD will be reduced as follows. Private Car Current NCD NCD after 1 Claim 50% 20% 40% 10% 30% and under 0% Motorcycle/Commercial Vehicle Current NCD NCD after 1 Claim 20%/15%/10% 0%

Does the ECICS Home Contents insurance only cover fire?

ECICS Home Contents Insurance protects against fire and extraneous perils such as lightning, storm, flood, burst pipes, impact from vehicles or aircraft, riot, malicious damage, and burglary. In addition to covering your home contents, the policy also includes worldwide personal liability for you and your household members. What if I have multiple EV policies?

The Benefit shall be limited to one redemption per Qualifying Policy. Policyholders with multiple Qualifying Policies may be eligible for multiple redemptions.

Does the premium vary based on age?

The premium is determined by the plan you choose, not by your age.

Can I be eligible for another round of Tesla Fractional Shares on my renewal?

Yes, you will qualify for this promotion when you renew your Tesla Motor Insurance, as long as no claims have been filed during the policy year.

I recently cancelled my FDW work permit, how do I cancel the policy?

MOM will issue the discharge letter 1 week after the FDW has left Singapore. Please provide us with a copy of the discharge letter to proceed with your cancellation.Please note that the effective date of insurance cancellation will be determined based on the discharge date from MOM, not the date when the work permit is cancelled.

My FDW’s age is 61 years old, can I still renew her policy?

The eligibility criteria states that the insured FDW must be between 23 and 60 years old at the time of application. This means that individuals outside of this age range may not qualify for coverage under the insurance policy.

Can I make amendments to the policy after I’ve purchased the insurance?

Certain amendments (e.g., typo error in name or passport number or change in effective date) can be made before the policy effective date. However, a re-transmission to MOM may be required depending on the type of amendment.

Are pre-existing medical conditions covered?

It is only covered under Hospital & Surgical Expenses if the FDW had been under your employment for more than 12 months.

Is there any coverage for Outpatient Medical Expenses (For Illness)?

Yes, we offer it as an optional add-on that covers outpatient medical expenses for illness that does not require hospitalisation. This benefit can cover up to $60 per visit, helping to ensure your FDW’s health needs are taken care of without added financial strain.

Do you offer NCD Protector for Motorcycle insurance?

Yes, ECICS motorcycle insurance policy comes with complimentary No Claim Discount Protector. It is free for our customers as long as you have NCD 10% and above.

Does your Motorcycle insurance cover usage of motorcycle for food, parcel or other delivery services?

We do not cover usage for food, parcel or other delivery services.

Do I need Motorcycle insurance in Singapore?

Yes, it is illegal to use a vehicle in Singapore without a valid insurance cover. At a minimum, you must have third-party insurance, which covers injury or damage caused to other people and their property.

What does your Motorcycle insurance cover?

We have 3 plans to suit your needs. The Comprehensive plan covers loss or damage to your motorcycle, as well as third party liability for bodily injury and property damage.

Does your Motorcycle insurance cover me while I am riding in Malaysia or Thailand?

Our policy covers you when you ride your motorcycle in West Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and that part of Thailand within 80.5km of the border between Thailand and West Malaysia.

Do I need to report to the police for all motor accidents?

You will only need to report to the police under the following circumstances:Damage to Government vehicle or propertyAccident with a foreign registered vehicleA Hit and Run accidentVehicle is stolen or vandalisedVehicle caught fireAccident involving a Pedestrian, Cyclist or Personal Mobility Device (PMD) usersA Malaysian police report is required if the accident happened in Malaysia.

How do I make a windscreen claim?

Please repair your windscreen at an ECICS Authorised Workshop. Call the workshop of your choice and they will help you file your claim and advise you accordingly. Click HERE for a copy of the Windscreen claim form.If the windscreen claim is of criminal or vandalism-related, a police report must be made. A copy of the police report must be submitted to your choice ECICS Authorised Workshop.

What to do in the event of an accident?

Please remain calm and check that nobody is injured. If someone is injured, you will need to call the ambulance at 995 and police at 999 immediately. You must also not shift your vehicle from its original position.You can contact our accident-assistance support available on 24/7 at +65 6206 5588 (option 9).

Can I include a named driver in my Private Motor Car insurance policy?

Yes, you can include as many named drivers as you want in your Private Motor Car insurance policy subject to underwriting and additional premium.

Do other insurers recognize this No Claim Discount Protector (NCDP)?

Generally, No Claim Discount Protector (NCDP) are not transferrable from one insurer to another insurer. However, we recognize other insurers’ NCDP.
