ECICS Home Contents Insurance covers the personal belongings you own within the residential premises you’re renting. It also extends to cover your legal liability as a tenant for any loss or damage caused to the rented property.

Money and valuables such as jewellery, watches, works of art and antiques are capped at a sum insured of $1,000 per policy year.

ECICS Home Contents Insurance protects against fire and extraneous perils such as lightning, storm, flood, burst pipes, impact from vehicles or aircraft, riot, malicious damage, and burglary. In addition to covering your home contents, the policy also includes worldwide personal liability for you and your household members. The compulsory HDB fire insurance covers only the building structure, fixtures and fittings provided by HDB or its approved developers. It does not cover home contents such as furniture, renovations and personal belongings.
