Frequently Asked Questions

To determine the right coverage amount for Home Contents insurance, consider the total cost to repair, renovate, and replace all your household items in the event of a total loss (such as fire or major flood).

Yes, you may own more than 1 Motor Excess Protector insurance policy provided that each Motor Excess Protector insurance policy covers 1 unique vehicle registration number.

Common exclusions include but is not limited to: - Wear and tear or gradual deterioration - Damage during transit - Wilful negligence - Faulty or defective design.

If I have 2 policies (2 vehicles) insured with ECICS and bought Family NCD plans with a member appearing in both policies. What will happen if one of the policy experiences an accident claim by the Family NCD member (named driver)?

The policy that experiences the accident claim will have the entire group of Family NCD members' (named drivers) Family-NCD reduced according to the GIA NCD framework (https://gia.org.sg/). We believe that promoting safe driving is a family affair. However, the other policy with us will not be affected, all earned Family-NCDs in that policy will remain intact.
