What is 6ME?

6ME (Six-Monthly Medical Examination) is a mandatory health screening that employers must arrange for their helpers (Migrant Domestic Worker) every 6 months. The examination screens for pregnancy and infectious diseases such as syphilis, HIV, and tuberculosis to safeguard public health and ensure workers remain fit for employment.
Employer Responsibilities:
  • Ensure 6ME is conducted by a Singapore-registered doctor
  • Pay for the 6ME and any medical expenses arising from it
  • Check the MOM 6ME letter for the required tests and make sure the check-ups are completed before the due date

Every 6 Months
Pregnancy & Syphillis
Every 2 Years
HIV
Once (Upon 2 Years of Stay)
Tuberculosis
Note: This promotion does not cover the Tuberculosis test for both 26-months and 14-months coverage. Tuberculosis check must be done at clinics with X-ray facilities.
