If you or your foreign worker breaches any of MOM’s rules or conditions, MOM may forfeit the bond and demand for payment from ECICS. ECICS will pay $5,000 to MOM on your behalf and in such cases, we will seek recovery of the amount from you.
No. The Security Bond is included in our Enhanced MaidAssure along with MOM’s minimum medical and personal accident insurance as a package. We do not offer just the Security Bond.
You are eligible for ECICS Private Motor Car insurance if:
- You and your named drivers (if any) is/are the resident(s) of Singapore possessing a valid NRIC/FIN;
- You are the main driver and owner of the Private Car;
- You and your named drivers (if any) is/are not an existing ECICS’ Private Motor Car Policyholder with claims.
- Neither you nor your named drivers (if any) has had his/her driving license (any class) suspended or cancelled in the last 3 years;
- Neither you nor your named drivers (if any) has had his/her private car insurance refused, declined renewal or terminated by any insurers;
- Your Private Car is or will be registered with the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”) and;
- Your Private Car is not and will not be used for commercial purpose, hire and reward, rental or leasing.

No, she is not covered unless she is travelling with you. We recommend purchasing a separate travel insurance for your FDW as the coverage would be more comprehensive for overseas situations where medical and evacuation costs are expected to be much higher.
No, you do not need to pay $5,000 upfront to MOM as we act as a guarantor by issuing a Letter of Guarantee to MOM on your behalf. However, if you or your FDW breaches any of MOM’s rules or conditions, MOM may forfeit the bond and demand for payment from ECICS. In such cases, we will seek recovery of the amount from you.
You will need to cancel her work permit to stop your levy and ensure that you keep a copy of her travel ticket or departure itinerary as proof. MOM will proceed to discharge the Security Bond after verifying that your FDW has left and did not re-enter Singapore. Upon discharge, you may proceed to request for policy cancellation.
MOM will issue the discharge letter 1 week after the FDW has left Singapore. Please provide us with a copy of the discharge letter to proceed with your cancellation.Please note that the effective date of insurance cancellation will be determined based on the discharge date from MOM, not the date when the work permit is cancelled.

A No Claim Discount Protector protects your NCD on renewal and allows you to make a claim under your policy without affecting your NCD. Without it, your NCD will be reduced should a claim be made under your policy.
The Family-NCD will not be affected as it follows the policy's claim experience. However, his past accident history will be taken into consideration when the Family NCD member get a new quote from us.

The policy that experiences the accident claim will have the entire group of Family NCD members' (named drivers) Family-NCD reduced according to the GIA NCD framework (https://gia.org.sg/). We believe that promoting safe driving is a family affair. However, the other policy with us will not be affected, all earned Family-NCDs in that policy will remain intact.

Yes, it is illegal to use a vehicle in Singapore without a valid insurance cover. At a minimum, you must have third-party insurance, which covers injury or damage caused to other people and their property.
We do not cover usage for food, parcel or other delivery services.
Our policy covers you when you ride your motorcycle in West Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and that part of Thailand within 80.5km of the border between Thailand and West Malaysia.
All riders need to be named in the policy. Unnamed riders are not covered.
