• Standardisation of allowable exclusion clauses
• Introduction of age-differentiated premiums for those aged 50 and below, and those aged above 50
• Requirement for insurers to reimburse hospitals directly upon the admissibility of the claim

No, you do not need to pay $5,000 upfront to MOM as we act as a guarantor by issuing a Letter of Guarantee to MOM on your behalf. However, if you or your FDW breaches any of MOM’s rules or conditions, MOM may forfeit the bond and demand for payment from ECICS. In such cases, we will seek recovery of the amount from you.
ECICS will be transmitting the details of your Private Car Policy to LTA upon successful enrolment within 3 business days. Please contact our mainline if you require support to urgently submit to LTA for online road tax renewals. Alternative, you can proceed to LTA office with the Certificate of Insurance to physically renewal your road tax at LTA office. Our mainline number is +65 6206 5588 (Mon - Fri excluding Public Holiday, 8:30am - 6:00pm).
Contractors' All Risks insurance can be taken up by the main contractor, subcontractor, or project owner, depending on the contract requirements. It’s often a contractual obligation before work can begin.
Yes, we offer it as an optional add-on that covers outpatient medical expenses for illness that does not require hospitalisation. This benefit can cover up to $60 per visit, helping to ensure your FDW’s health needs are taken care of without added financial strain.
Refund Policy (Upon Policy Termination):0 to 30 days in force – 80% refund of premium31 to 90 days in force – 50% refund of premium91 to 180 days in force – 30% refund of premium181 days and beyond – No refund100% of the premium will be refunded if:a) The Policy is cancelled within 90 days from the policy effective date and replaced with a new ECICS Enhanced MaidAssure policy; orb) The In-Principal Approval (IPA) is terminated and the FDW did not enter Singapore.Provided there shall be no refund if: • Any claim has been made or has arisen under the Policy; or • The premium refund is less than $27.25 (inclusive of GST). No, it does not. ECICS NCD Protector only protects the policyholder/insured. It does not extend to cover all the Family NCD members.
You will not be entitled to a cancellation refund if there is a claim made under your Private Motor Car insurance policy.
These workshops are not under ECICS Limited authorised partners and we have no control over the repair quality. If the repair is poorly done, we will not be able to assist you should issues arise. Furthermore, the claim cost may be inflated, resulting in higher premium in your next renewal.
The policy that experiences the accident claim will have the entire group of Family NCD members' (named drivers) Family-NCD reduced according to the GIA NCD framework (https://gia.org.sg/). We believe that promoting safe driving is a family affair. However, the other policy with us will not be affected, all earned Family-NCDs in that policy will remain intact.
Yes, we offer complimentary excess waiver of up to $750 (depending on your current NCD%) for the first claim in a policy year when you repair your accident car at ECICS’s authorized workshops and share your in-car cctv footage with us.
We have 3 plans to suit your needs. The Comprehensive plan covers loss or damage to your motorcycle, as well as third party liability for bodily injury and property damage.
All riders need to be named in the policy. Unnamed riders are not covered.
We do not cover usage for food, parcel or other delivery services.
Our policy covers you when you ride your motorcycle in West Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore and that part of Thailand within 80.5km of the border between Thailand and West Malaysia.
